Symbols of the city Jawor
Jawor’s symbols are an arm and a flag, that were defined by Jawor Commune’s Statute and accepted by Municipal Council’s Resolution Nr XIV/85/03 from a day 25.06.2003 y.
Jawor Commune’s arm presents one shield with rounded lower edge. In this shield we can see a vision of St. Martin sitting on a horse and ripping of a tail of a coat by a sword. Half-naked, tied by a red scarf beggar, with his raised up hands is presented below of image of St. Martin.
Colors of the arm: shield is sky-blue, St. Martin is in an golden aureole, he is bestriding on a white horse, a St. Martin’s coat and a beggar’s scarf are red.
Jawor Commune’s flag is white-sky-blue color. It is allowed also to use the Commune’s flag with an arm allocated at its white part.
Jawor Commune’s arm and flag is restricted by a law.
