The very first performance of the theatre troupe in Jawor took place in 1799 in a building used previously for storing shoe and bread benches. It continued its work until the year 1850. Then the place was closed due to poor technical conditions. It was renovated in 1869 as an Industrial Bank and later it was turned into a cereal market. After it went bankrupt the theatre began its work in here again. Then the theatre hall was rebuilt and turned into a neorenaissance interior. The premiere took place on December 1, 1875. In 1895 the Town Hall was on fire but luckily the theatre survived. Within the years 1925-1928 the audience was redecorated and modernised. In 1933, for the theatre hall, which was one of the most beautiful on Lower Silesia, the theatre was given the importance of a Lower Silesia Provinces Theatre.
