The Grey Sisters’ Church and Convent
This convent settled down in Jawor at the beginning of the XVIII century. Firstly, it was situated in the Staszic Street. In 1748 Grey Sisters bought a mansion on today’s Żeromski Street from the Hochberg counts. Then the church together with the convent was completed. Within the years 1812-1847 an evangelic girl school had its base here, and next, till 1904 a catholic school. In 1905 a library and the reading room was established on the ground floor and a preventorium for the people with lung cancer on the first floor. In the 1930ties the temple was theatre’s props room and after 1945 furniture store. Nowadays it belongs to the Pentecostal Church.
