The very first water-supply system was created in 1538. Water intake was then situated near Myśliborska Street. Water was delivered to the well on the Market Square with wooden pipes. It wasn’t until 1888 when a real water–supply system was constructed. At the highest point in the town in 1889 a brick water tower was built. It was thoroughly modernised in the 1980ties, which eliminated the problem of supplying the citizens with drinking water.
