A medieval structure of a square base turning into an octagon on the second storey. Its massive 24-meter tall figure has 1.9-meter thick walls. It includes some slight elements of gothic architecture (e.g. windows in the shape of a pointed arch). A cut top is a unique example of ending towers in the very way. Because of its shape it is called ‘a fat bald giant’. The tower was to defend the Strzegom gate leading to the town. After the first half of XVI century it was a vantage point and later a prison. At the end of XVIII century it was changed into a powder magazine.
