The oldest temple in the town built in a gothic style at the turn of the XIII and the XIV century.
It has a baroque enormously artistic decor. In the north nave in the St Mary’s Chapel there is the epitaph of Hans Sapiens with the scene of the Crucifixion and the date 1362 engraved on it. In the main altar there is a painting by Feliks Anton Scheffler presenting St Martin. In the south nave there is an impressive epitaph of the doctor Baltazar Hartranft from 1586, and on the vaults medieval paintings can be found. Under the choir there is a XIV century sculpture of St Martin in
bishop’s gown.
There are also some attractive portals: a gothic one on the southern side, in tympan displaying St Martin on a horse sharing his gown with a beggar, and a late renaissance one from about 1615 profusely ornamented, flanked with majestic columns. Around the temple you can spot a former cemetery with numerous epitaphs surrounded by a wall.
